FAST Channel Attrition in February
FASTMaster analyzes the channels that were removed from FAST platforms in the last month
Channel attrition is a topic many are interested in, as it points to what’s working or not, both on a platform level and the wider industry. It’s important to note though that attrition also includes pop-up channels reaching the end of their life, so not all channels removed are due to poor performance. (Some also may be removed due to the platform not being able to pay the channel what it’s owed, in this case being pulled by the channel operator themselves. This is rare however).
In total, 51 distinct channels were removed from one or more tracked FAST services between January and February (2.7% of all channels in January; 97.3% made it). Here’s a service by service breakdown:
